Speaker pitch To be successful at scale we need to leverage the decision-making bandwidth that exists at the practitioner level of our organization. Yet, many organizations struggle to decentralize control. Sometimes, as they push control lower, decentralization leads to local optimization. This can lead them to think they have decentralized too much. In fact, very few companies decentralize too much, more commonly they decentralize the wrong things and do it in the wrong way. In this presentation Don Reinertsen will discuss why decentralized control is much more than looking for the right setting on the decentralization dial and what leaders must do to achieve it. He’ll discuss how effective decentralization can help an organization build cohesiveness, engagement, and trust.
